Chicago Policy Trek: Bringing Chicago Home Trek

Join us, in partnership with the University of Chicago Institute of Politics (IOP) for a Chicago Policy Trek on the Bring Chicago Home proposal and affordable housing in the city.

Each trek offers 20 students the chance to dive into a political issue area through meeting with a broad range of public service practitioners and site visits to relevant organizations. Participants will explore the topics of Bring Chicago Home, housing tax policy, general housing issues in the city, and community advocacy. Speakers for this Trek include: Professor Christopher Berry, Director of the Mansueto Institute at the University of Chicago, Daniel Cruz (CLA'22), Chicago Housing Authority Chief of Staff, and Nicholette Cameron, Senior Project Manager at Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives. Additional speakers will be added.
