Senior Practitioner Fellow Liz Hempowicz will discuss her experience developing and advancing policy solutions to combat corruption and to promote openness and accountability in government. Hempowicz is an expert on whistleblower protections, conflicts of interest, ethics, FOIA, separation of powers, and the National Emergencies Act. She has testified before Congress several times and has been cited recently in various news outlets.

She has participated in efforts to improve the Inspector General Act, the National Emergencies Act, lobbying and congressional ethics rules, whistleblower protections, the Freedom of Information Act, and other government accountability initiatives.

Lunch will be provided, and there will be an opportunity for discussion during the program.
