This year, the world watched Americans grapple with issues of racial injustice, prompting a long-overdue reckoning on race—all amidst the backdrop of a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic disproportionately affecting communities of color. Through these crises, the media played a critical role in how we understand them and exploring what we might do to address them. Join CEG Senior Practitioner Fellow Natalie Y. Moore, author and reporter for WBEZ, for an intimate conversation to explore intersecting issues of race and public health in the city of Chicago through the eyes (and first-hand experience) of a journalist.
