Through the Civic Practitioner Leadership Series (CPLS), current CLA fellows and alumni learn from leading civic practitioners in Chicago. These sessions are an opportunity to explore the practical applications of the themes of leadership.
On April 23, the CPLS will spotlight Commissioner Allison Arwady (CLA'18) of the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH). Dr. Arwady is leading the city's response to COVID-19. Dr. Arwady started at CDPH in 2015 and served as Chief Medical Officer before being confirmed by the City Council as Commissioner in January, 2020.
Massimo Pacilli (CLA'21) will serve as interlocutor. Massimo is the Lab-Based Surveillance Director in the Health Protection and COVID-19 Response Bureau at the Chicago Department of Public Health.
